Elliott Nieves
I’m a cinematographer and a filmmaker, and I’ve always been drawn to stories. I think stories are core to what it means to be a human being. We’re always telling each other stories, whether it’s hearing about what happened on the weekend or talking about a life changing journey we’ve been on lately.
We also tell ourselves stories, about who we are, what matters to us, how much we value ourselves and the people around us. If there’s one thing that all of us have in common, it’s that we all have a story to tell.
Throughout my life I have loved being able to use my camera to capture the memories and the stories of the people that matter most to me. Not everyone gets the opportunity to preserve their story, and that’s what I’m passionate about doing with Heirloom Audio.

I'll always cherish the opportunities I had to sit down with my grandparents and just chat. Hearing their stories, learning their lessons, and coming to know my own family history is something I'll treasure forever.
As a filmmaker and a passionate storyteller, I've spent hours and hours capturing precious memories and conversations with my loved ones. I am so grateful that I can revisit these precious memories at any time, even if some loved ones are no longer around to tell their stories.
This is the experience I seek to share with other families through Heirloom Audio. It's a privilege to hear the family history of others, and to be a part of the process of guiding people through preserving their stories for future generations to enjoy.
